What is the monthly limit on screenshots?

Ummmm
Not flawless
Gotta time it perfectly and try not to hit volume rocker - works about 10% - but what I now have resort to.

(As to an earlier suggestion to factory reset - whew, not in your life! Done that to other phones - it's like using Bolemia to control weight; works for a few hours - at great time expense)

How heavily modded/rooted is your phone? I don't understand your aversion to trying a factory reset here. If your phone is as bad as you say it is, it's unusable. A factory reset has to be preferable to that. No one here is going to come up with a magical solution to the major problems you're experiencing. Do the reset or take the phone in for service/replacement.
