What is the point of dual-led in the Evo 4G?

The point, apparently, is to wash out all the subjects and make for crappy pictures from what I've seen! UGH!!! I guess this is fine if you're out "CLUBBING" and need to snap pictures in the DARK, but when you're just wanting to snap regular pictures, that bright LED is NOT necessary!

You are correct sir... or madame. However, the positioning of the flash does affect the probability of getting red eye in photos. On smaller cameras and cell phones, the flash is typically placed very close to the lens. This increases the probability that the reflections off of the retina will come right back to the lens and cause red eye. On larger devices with flashes that are spaced further from the lens, the probability of red eye is reduced. I'm not trying to be snooty, just disseminating information :)

correct.
When I shoot professionally I use a bracket to get the flash away from the lens as much as possible.

What if we covered one of the LEDS with a finger? Or ........electrical tape. LOL

I'll use a flash bracket doing weddings or event photography, but if I have the space and time, I loves me some 43" shoot-throughs or a nice, big octabank.
