pone off at n

I turn off my nexus 6p at night, but also leave it on char. Is it necessary turn off once a day and is it ok to leave on charge when it is off.

Im confused about your question.

1. Why do you turn it off at night?
2. It's ok to leave it on the charger while it's off
3. It's not necessary to turn it off during the day...why would it be?

Yes, it's OK to turn off your phone (but not necessary), especially if you won't be using it for an extended period of time. And it's OK to charge when off, but always a good idea to remove from the charger once it reaches 100% ... It has a built in mechanism that turns off the charge once it reaches 100%!so it won't do any damage if you leave it on the charge, but it's still a smart idea to remove it.

Leaving it plugged in will not harm the device whether it's off or on.

Are you shutting it down to save battery, prevent notifications? It's not necessary especially with Doze and there's a Do Not Disturb option.

I am not trying to be rude but wow people still do this?? There is no need to shut down your phone ever unless you want to reboot.

Keep in mind these are computer. It's good for any computer to refresh its memory and what not.

What!!! It's good for animals to sleep to refresh their memory, in case you need reminding a computer is not an animal it's a machine and it never needs to sleep. It shouldn't need to reboot either, that's a symptom of bad code, my Linux systems are up for months on end, the only reason they ever get rebooted is for a kernel upgrade. Android is much buggier than other Linux systems so it does get into states that can be cleared with a reboot, but they aren't that frequent, maybe once every couple of weeks. There is absolutely no reason to power the 6P down on a regular basis, when you aren't using it Marshmallow goes into doze mode which is a very low power state.
