What is the typical/ideal battery drain rate?

I just bought a Gen 1 yesterday (because why the hell not), used. I've noticed that whenever I actually USE the watch, the battery drops pretty significantly, like, 3% for 30 seconds. The battery forecast says it'll last for 24 hours operating the way it is now, which is really just for checking the time. Brightness is set to 1 and I have Google Fit and Moto Body disabled. Yesterday the battery life was less than half what it says I'll get now. ADB over Bluetooth is also disabled. I've already ordered a replacement battery as the phone was bought new in 2014 to be on the safe side, but I'm still curious.

Battery usage in your first few weeks will always suck and then improve heaps from experience. Usually I'll average between 4-5%/hr with ambient off and 7-8%/hr with ambient on. Once you get over your new shiny smartwatch your battery life will increase dramatically too 😂

True... but I just watched my battery drop 5% from vibrating due to an incoming call. So that can't be good.

My 2nd gen 360 will go from 7am to 11pm on 25% battery. That's with 'Always on watch face' turned off, mind you. With that turned on I could still get to 11pm with 30% left. Seems to be very dependent on your watch face, though. The watch face I currently have drains the battery quite badly if 'Always on watch face' is switched *off* - won't get to the end of the day in that configuration. Using a stock face I do not have nearly as much drain..
