What is this white box around the digital clock on my Galaxy S4?

white box around digital clock galaxy s4

I'm using the clock(digital) 4x1 widget, it was a nice and plain white digital clock and time on my screen but today it has a white box around it and the time and date are now black.

Any idea's on how to change this, I'm stuck on what to do.
