I just got my new T-Mobile LG V20 last night, still playing around with the settings.

If you go to Settings > Networks > Call > More > there is an option called "Voice Clarity", what is that?

it says "Enhance voice clarity to hear more clearly", I can't imagine why I wouldn't want that on?

Voice Clarity is a feature that tweaks the sound profile on the speaker so that you can hear better when in noisy environments.

Usually, you would keep that on, but do note that in some cases, you may hear an echo.

That option is not on the Verizon model, however Verizon has advanced HD calling which probably eliminates the need.

Here is what it looks like for anyone who doesnt have the option

Well for what ever reason Verizon does not have the call clarity feature any more unless they moved it.
Verizon was behind in terms of HD calling. On T-Mobile it just uses HD calling if the phone is capable.. nothing else required. Verizon due to the older technologies makes it where you have to enable the feature to get HD voice and also voice/data at the same time.

I'm not sure what you mean....we were discussing call clarity and it doesn't look like Verizon uses that feature....probably doesn't need.

T-Mobile has HD voice plus additional things like EVS.

You were discussing HD voice and how Verizon needs a toggle via the account. I was just explaining the difference in the carriers :).

Either way not surprised the Verizon version doesn't have it.

HD voice is voice on 4G LTE.
nothing more nothing less.

Voice clarity is a equalizer tweek to enhance the voice of the incoming callers voice.

I was wrong.... VERIZON does have a call clarity setting. You have to open the stock dialer and click the 3 dot menu and go into settings.
