The S4 has a dedicated menu key so the on screen menu doesn't show since.. You have a button.

The HTC One does not have a dedicated menu button and since the app programmers haven't added one it defaults it to the bottom of the screen.

For phones like the HTC One the app makers have to make a dedicated menu button (see below for an example)... Otherwise you have the one at the bottom of the screen.

The black bar won't go away unless the developers change the app or your One gets the 4.2.2 update.

The reason why your S4 doesn't have it because it is using that version plus their custom modifications to the OS.

I understand the 3dot menu issue. Its just this app looks different on a s4 not including the 3 dot menu. I know the new android central app has been updated with full screen. Just don't know why this one isn't because if I'm right they are the same developers.
