Car and train. I think that If you want to get a lot of interesting moments in path, you should try to travel on car.

Although cruises do have their drawbacks and are pretty touristy, I do love being able to sleep comfortably while travelling between destinations!

I love trains because of views and sounds. And I love planes as well because it's always a bit of scary.

Train anyday as you get to meet different people and can always look outside the window for something different. Second would be car and worst is by plane. It is always long to wait at airport and boring in the plane.

Torn between car and train! The train is more comfortable, very relaxing and considerably faster. The car, however, allows you to travel at your own pace and feels a little cosier, more private. Both are pretty great, but give you different kinds of experience.

Car and walking. I have motorbike that from times to times I do enjoy cruising around with. But mostly just the former two.

I regularly fly into Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) in New Jersey. Getting home to the Princeton/Plainsboro NJ area it can be an hour or more in heavy turnpike traffic. One time I buddied-up with a fellow traveler who suggested we hire a helicopter to get home since the New Jersey Turnpike and Route 1 South were clogged with traffic. My companion pulled rank to get us a ride into the Princeton Airport using her university account. She was shuttling some rare documents and her superior gave her the okay. That was all it took to kindle an appreciation for helicopters in me. Those executives who buzz by overhead as a routine are on to something. In less time than it would have taken to hire a limousine, stow our baggage and get to an airport exit we were approaching the Princeton Airport from the west just as tte sun was setting; it was a beautiful sight.

I rented a vehicle at the airport and drove my companion to her destination and I was home shortly afterward, skirting the heavy traffic which was still backed-up all the way to Lawrenceville, NJ. It was four days before Christmas 2012 and I've used the helicopter service as often as I couid justify it since then.

My brother is a pilot and has a twin engine light aircraft that seats seven. I've flown with him quite a bit over the years. I'm the oldest of five brothers and I will not allow all five of us to fly in our brother's plane at the same time. No ifs, ands or buts. Three at any one time is it. Everyone has been mature and understanding about it. The novelty of having that airplane of his at our, general, disposal pleases my brother but he doesn't lord it over us. If he gets a free day and decides he'd like to fly upstate for a day of fishing he'll try to get two of us interested with, maybe, a couple days notice. The brothers who do not go that time know there'll be other trips.

NJ traffic is horrible

The turnpike and that parkway can be a nightmare. I don't drive or travel nearly as much as I used to and for that I'm grateful.
Yeah , gotta catch them right time , same with 80 and 280. Good thing you don't travel much .

Yesterday I was heading to Elizabeth and traffic was slow for about 15 minutes because of rubber necker's looking at the Northbound lane when an SUV plowed into the back end of a tractor trailer. End of the truck was pretty far into the windshield. Couldn't tell if there were fatalities but I didn't see any ambulance.
