This is a good question. I know that it is very early to tell for certain. Just curious what your first impressions are compared so far? Is there any notable differences :)

Ummm it's kind of hard to say. I've used Nougat on a Nexus and now the V20, and they're different experiences (obviously). One thing I like is how LG has finally adapted the stock style notification shade and quick settings.

Concur. I like the LG v20 Nougat but came from the N7. hard to compare with two variables - OS and devices..

I have the new V20, or VS995 as LG calls it. Where do I begin with the issues? First it started with small issues, like you cant download directly to the SD Card...you have to download to internal than transfer it. Sometimes you cant open a program. You have to clear all recent apps, then you can open a new app. Sometimes you cant exit chrome, you hit back and it just sits there. You have to go to recent apps and close it that way. But the worst of all...LAG!!! Frame rate in games is terrible! Even playing super simple games! Its like the RAM and processor just have a brain fart for 1 sec. Then it works...its this constant sling shot effect. I have a note 3 with the same games, and it runs perfect every game, no lag. Not sure if Nougat is the cause or LG hardware, but this phone is garbage as far as i am concerned. I have contacted LG, they sent back a "Hallmark sympathy card" with no actuL solutions or help of any kind. Just "sorry". Keep your old phones and stay away from Nougat til they fix it!

Outside of the better notification shade, I really don't notice much difference. Once 7.1 gets here, then it will be a different story.

Doze. It activates whether you're moving or not. In MM your phone had to be still for it to work. It's pretty awesome.

For the most part I dig the notification shade and the way it's set up, but I absolutely love how notifications are clustered together. Doze is absolutely killer when the device is idle, it definitely does its job. Super fast, lightweight, split screen works pretty well. Comparing this to a N7 run in marshmallow and a N4 running Lollipop, it's night and day. Tried using my N7 for a day or so but it's noticeably slower in just about every way and in the way many apps run, set up almost identically launcher and app/dev mode wise.

I just watched the preview video for 7.1, and honestly I'm crazy excited for it to eventually reach this device. It looks even better

Just curious but what are some game in particular you have had poor performance with? I'd like to try them my self. I've experienced none of these issues on my AT&T V20 (H910).

Battery management. I love the fact I can set my phone down, come back the next morning and percentage had barely moved, if at all.

You should have returned it for a replacement in your 14 day return period. If all that was happening, surely you would have discovered it within the return window.

Since the switch to Nougat from N7 to V20 I haven't had any problems with app overlay permissions.

not sure if this is lg thing or 7.0 (had the n7) i noticed that now when i makes some changes or get asked to open with , the option to use just once or always is there, with the n7 that option was taken away.

Have you disabled this? It was on out of the box.

I also have the Verizon version. For starters, downloads have always defaulted to the internal storage. I'm not sure why you consider this a fault of the V20 when every Android phone is like this unless you're using a third party app, rooting, etc.

For the rest of your issues, I haven't experienced any of them.

Comparing Marshmallow and Nougat, I don't see many differences. The biggest are better notification interactions like replying to texts and deleting emails, and catching cats. Oh so many cats in my collection!

Comparing MM on my V10 to Nougat on my '20s the latter looks more pleasing. I think that's just LG skin differences between the two. I'm quite satisfied with the '20’s UI, performance... everything. The V10’s MM is still fine though...still a nice phone.

I have none of these problems, I'm having such a good time with this phone, that I almost, that's almost, don't miss my Note 7. If I had all those problems with mine, I would have certainly taken it back right away. I hope you can still get a replacement , as this is really a great phone.
