What launcher is everyone using?

Seems like Nova is the most popular. I wanted to give One UI a try but the option in Nova to increase the app icon and name sizes is what’s preventing me from doing so. These old eyes just aren’t what they used to be.

Ive used Nova like everyone else here. Its one of the best no doubt. But since my s9 one Ui from samsung has been getting better and better each year. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles but it has enough.
Some things are annoying but thats whats great about andorid just change it.

My votes for One UI 3.1 for now and nova maybe to freshen things up later

Welcome to Android Central! I've never been a big fan of launchers - I'd always install and then uninstall them after a very, very short period of time. However, I've been using Nova for the past month or so and am really enjoying it!

I've used Nova as well, as long as I could remember. But I am no longer using it with my S21 and currently using the stock launcher. When using gestures (swiping up to exit app and swiping left or right to go back) on Nova Beta and Nova 7, whenever I exit to the home screen by swiping up, there is a noticeable lag/pause before I can swipe again on the home screen. This lag does not exist on the stock launcher. I also use Nova on my oneplus 6t and works flawlessly. Anyone else have this problem?

Sometimes yes, I get the lag with nova7 although it is better than using the regular nova which was pretty awful with lag on One UI 3.0 beta

That's most unfortunate. I'm not experiencing any problems with gesture nav on Nova7. I can't think of what would be causing the problem.

I'm tempted to try other launchers besides Nova. I'm just kind of bored and want to try something new. I really like the look of the new samsung ui, but there's a couple things about I don't like. I don't like how after opening a folder of apps on my home screen, the pop up window is the same size whether you have one or 10 apps in the folder. So, I end up having to reach way up top there if I want to open the app in that top left position. Small hands. Nova folder windows are only as big as they need to be based on how many apps are in the folder.

You can change the way folders look using good lock. One UI is more powerful because of good lock.

Nova and Niagara launchers.

As I said Samsung continues to do an amazing job with their One UI.

Honestly, if you can change Icons out of the box I have no problems sticking with stock.

But it won't change based on number of apps. You can only change the grid size once and that applies to all folders. For example, in one folder I have 9 apps but in another folder I have 3. The open folder should adjust itself to be smaller if I only have 3 apps in there instead of having a bunch of empty space as seen in the attached photo.Screenshot_20210214-141311_One UI Home.jpg

I like One UI, but I just can't stick with it when there is so little control over icons. I always end up back with Nova. Unfortunately (as others have noted), Nova and Samsung's OS don't entirely play nice together. There is a one second delay after returning to the home screen before a new app can be opened.

Been on the Microsoft launcher for a while. I used One UI for a bit today and it felt broken. In general MS and Samsung stuff seems to work really well together.

Set everything and fired up One UI for a change. Will give it chance for a while and see how it goes. I’ve got Nova Prime on the phone waiting in the wings for a return.

I have Microsoft Launcher installed only so I can use the Google wallpaper app to select Bing as my daily wallpaper. I set up Bing wallpaper on my PC and now I have the same daily background for both.
