What made you buy the S6 instead of the S6 Edge?

Just curious. I thought the Edge looked neat and could have bought it if I wanted to but there were not as many cases and the drop hazard as well as it's hard to protect the curved part of the phone if it's dropped vs an S6 in an Otterbox dropping on pavement for example.

Because the edge might cut my hand. Just kidding.

I prefer the flat design on S6. And also I'm not willing to pay the extra on that curve screen. But I got my wife the S6 Edge.

For the price of the 32GB GS6E, I got the GS6 64GB. Having a night clock or notification features didn't justify the extra cost. The GS6 had a more premium feel than the GS6E.

I just could not justify the extra cost for what you got with the edge. Plus didn't feel as good in hand and I need a case anyway and once it's in a case there you go, loses its looks. the edge seems like just so much hype to me. I'm glad I got the regular S 6.

I got the regular S6 one because I was buying it unlocked and the 32GB was cheaper because I wanted a smaller phone coming from the Note 3 and two because though the Edge to me was very appealing there are apps that give the regular S6 the same function the Edge has with the curve and a flatter surface of the screen makes it slightly easier to hold. Sometimes I feel like I need a case in the phone just to prevent from dropping it.

I have ginormous hands for a female. I'm literally a size 9 in ring sizes. I knew that if I bought the edge phone I would constantly be bringing up stuff with my hands that I didn't want brought up as my hands go over the edge of the screen sometimes while I'm using it. It's bad enough when I find apps creste new folders from this on the s6. I couldn't even imagine having the edge and what my hands would accidentally do with the edge being fully functional

The s6 edge was a great phone.. But didnt the night clock nd edge features ate worth the money!! The s6 is neat nd i am satisfied! If i ever bought the s6 edge it would be for its looks not totally its features!

That's a good question - honestly I thought the S6 in white looked better than the edge version. I do regret not seeing them side by side before I made my order though.

Price most definitely. Not that I could not have afforded it but I just couldn't justify paying $100 more for a few cheap gimmicks. $50 bucks and I probably would have copped it but not $100.

Paying more and wanting a slightly larger screen on the Edge version maybe 5.5 instead.

I am pretty clumsy and I feel like dropping the edge has a higher chance of damaging the screen if dropped due to the curves.

Also I think it's difficult to find a tempered glass screen protector that will wrap around the glass

With some hands-on time, I mainly found the regular S6 much more comfortable to hold and operate. I demoed the Edge first, but personally wasn't fond of the curved screen, and didn't have any use for the lighting/contacts/night clock features.

I know I'm in the minority...but for me it just feels better in the hands more solid.

I went regular S6 for the better price, the edge features didn't seem worth an extra $100. The edge looks neat but long term I think flat was the smart choice for me

no offense to male edge owners, but lol, the edge strikes me as a girls phone, can't explain why I think that, I just do

I keep my S6 in a Defender case and have Zagg glass screen protector on it. Removed the Defender plastic screen protector. Defender is required because if 7 grandchildren, 7 years old and under. At the time I purchased, could not figure out how to child proof the Edge. I don't think anymore explanation is required.
