What materials do you think smartphones in 2019 be made out of?

How about a phone that doesn't need a case to survive life? I could care less what it's made of but why make phones that feel nice in the hand but need a case to actually survive daily use? Carbon Fiber?

Agreed, that's where I'm hoping things will go. As you said, obviously it's nice to have to the phone looking great, but would it be awesome if we could actually admire our phones beauty without needing a case to protect it.

I'm kinda hoping for something 'new' something like Carbon Fiber, or this kevlar rubber, maybe even a Glass & plastic weave to make it more flexible?

I don't think case manufactures would be happy to hear about this plan we plotting lol

^ They'll be okay. They can make metal cases to protect the carbon fibre, kevlar rubber, or glass and plastic weave.
