What Messaging App are you using?

Google/Android Messages app for SMS and usual WhatsApp, Messenger for most communication.

tried stock, but I have contacts with multiple phone numbers(work, mobile, etc). Starting new conversation in the stock app shows multiple entries for same person, but doesn't say mobile, home, work, etc? So, now Im on google messages like I was before, but found on trip out of the country that goole messages doesn't send via wifi, unlike verizon message+, problem is I don't care for Verizons app. I WANT to use the Samsung version, but not if I cannot tell what contact is what....
EXACTLY why I stopped using Samsung Messages too. I switch between Google and VZW Messages +. I'd like to stick with Google, but some group messages started by my boss FORCE me to open VZW Messages + in order to open them. I never could figure out why that is. I get a notification that there is a new group message, and that I will need to install Messages + in order to see it. Annoying.

Using the stock messaging app because,
a. It supports T-Mobile advanced messaging
b. It's fully compatible with my Galaxy Watch's texting app
I once tried Android messages. It's great for messaging from the web, but I could never get past the compatibility issues.

I mostly chat with people through FB messenger and I have Textra and like it but because of my Galaxy Watch too I use the stock. Is mood better than Textra? I just like being able to configure an individual tone for people and miss how it used to be when it was under contacts text tone. And I Miss the favorite bubbles up top too I had that on my 7 Edge. Than an update took it away.

Always Google messages. Although I was very disappointed to find I can't "disable" the native messenger. I haven't used Samsung in a while and it seems that they still lock things down terribly.

I went from Textra to Google Messages for the sole fact that Textra wouldn't allow me to attach videos to messages. Does anybody know how to get around that or if Textra finally supports this?

I'll look. I just use Samsung's link share when sending videos.

Just tried, video failed.

When you want to send a video, use the share large files pictured below. It will upload your video or whatever large file you want to send and you can send the link to anyone any way you want to, text, email, Facebook, whatever. It just sends a link and the other person can open it up, and download it also. It will expire certain time and delete. You also get the benefit of sending pictures in original form, texting pictures gets compressed and not as good quality.

Signal, since leaving WhatsApp. It does messaging and also SMS in the same app.

I wanted to use stock for t-mobile chat but just don't like it. I seemed to miss text or get duplicates so google for me. Same with keyboard, I use the "swype text feature or whatever called" and gboard so much better on prediction than stock.

Textra.... I like that you can delay messages by up to 9 seconds.... I always re-read my messages as they're being sent and I like the option of having that 9 second buffer in case I messed up or I'm sending it to the wrong person!

Are there any other apps that have that feature? I wouldn't mind trying a different app.

Textra asks for way too many permissions so I switched to Pulse SMS, it even allows you to have all your SMS/black listed numbers synced across all your devices for a small fee (optional) and has the same blocking capabilities of Textra if not better as you can even blacklist SMS using keywords (ie. offer, promotion)

Textra Permissions:

Stock app as to gain the advanced messaging features which act like iMessage in a way.

I use google messages since I can text money to my kids for their allowence..it goes straight to their debit cards..instant
