What method will you use to backup existing phone and restore to S21/+/Ultra?

What will you use to backup and restore?

It's probably faster from phone to phone with the caveat that you won't have an extra backup sitting on your PC.
Yup, I've already got the backup saved there anyway. My concern is less about speed than about thoroughness--I don't want to leave any settings behind if I don't have to.

Just completed my transfer yesterday from S20U to S21U using a cable that included transferring my SDCard data too that went seamless. It created a folder on the S21U that had all my SDCard data and a lot of my apps were linked to the new SDCard folder automatically without me having to re-link them.

I'm new to Samsung so wasn't familiar with smart switch but figured if it all went wrong I would just restore and try something else. I have to say I am very impressed. yes, some apps didn't appear on the new phone (but easily downloaded as there were only a couple) but what really impressed me is that I use gmail app for email and have 2 email addresses (a gmail and my primary @me.com) normally it is a real pain setting up my @me.com address as it is an alias for another address and I have to find all correct server settings and generate new app specific password from an iOS device (which I rarely can remember log in details for) but after smart switch my gmail was set up and receiving emails from both accounts with no issues. Its a revelation! I was dreading this part and its all done for me!!
my only issue now is finding a good screen protector here in UK that works with FPS (the ones I ordered said they would work but they don't, relying on face unlock right now)

Previously, when I've set up a new phone via a Smart Switch backup, the phone simultaneously started restoring apps and settings from Samsung's cloud backup and Google's cloud backup. Is there a way to bypass those processes? Can we skip the Samsung and Google login in the phone's initial setup wizard?
I'm not sure, it's been awhile since I've done factory reset , I think Samsung you can but not 100% on Google, I like to say no if I remember correctly it wants to know the account that associated with the device as a FRP

I started fresh this time. Last time I used Smart Switch, app defined sounds never worked which some I liked over what the phone came with. That and it was time for a fresh start!
