What new apps have you tried lately?

I was looking to dl some albums yesterday and i managed to get on a couple of sites(isohunt, extratorrent.Piratebay does not open) but then when i cicked to dl the torrent a screen came up and blocked it from happening.
I live in the UK and im pretty sure most providers are blocking the sites using there connection.(if that makes sense)

on 3 (three) network i found a simple change in APA settings that bypasses the torrent lock and the under-18 barr :) its the APN used for dongles so maybe if you can find the dongle APN setting for your carrier, that could work ;)

I tried the 3D City Runner. Its really a funny game with innovative design and Dynamically generated game stages which make it fun.

I've tried sipdroid and have been satisfied so far.. uses google voice as a VoIP.service..

Tried autoap for putting phone in airplane mode on WiFi automatically but it didn't work right when turning the ap mode off

My best contribution would be light manager. This app let's you assign a different color for specific notification. It's the same as light flow but more reliable imo.

I also looked into widget locker but many people complain about performance so I didn't bother to download it. I'm looking to be able to put the calendar widget in the lock screen. That way I can just look at my lock screen to check my next event. Anyone know of any app that allows me to do that?

I've been using widget locker for like 3 months, never had an issue

I'll have to check our light manager

And try jorte calendar and see if it helps

On my Samsung galaxy s3 running android 4.0

Because unlike ios, i keep my apps in app drawers, and not in infinite cluttered homescreens

whatsapp is probably the best messaging app. Emojis, tells you when the person was on and if they saw your message. Kind of like how msn is.
Ifunny is hilarious
Major mayhem is pretty fun
Google sky map
Media remote (if you own a sony bluray)
mad skills mx is hard, but fun
Stickman Base
Drag racing bike edition
Punch hero
Gyro is addicting!
tower defense
flow
My favorite though, Call of mini zombies
Best part is all these games are free

tried dock4droid funk. It was nice. I'm using wave launcher though. Very similar. Harder to activate accidentally than dock4droid. Also can move the wave bar up and down. It's not just a dock at the bottom of the screen. It leaves the dock. Which is what I like better

I just got ThemeX. It allows you to extract parts of themes to store on your phone, rather than storing the entire theme. So if you just want to use a few icons or a wallpaper from a particular theme, you can extract those icons and/or wallpaper onto your SDCard using ThemeX, and then delete the theme which takes up much more space. It works with Apex, Nova, Go, and ADW Launchers.

I tried Tasks since it syncs with google. It is pretty nice for 99 cents... Very straight forward app.

Check out screen filter app for those who like to txt or read at night

I had to switch over to it instead of my beloved lux brightness because lux doesn't work well on jelly bean, it shuts off every hour or so, and it's annoying to set ur brightness back just to have the app turn itself off

But Lux still is useful when I need extreme brightness

I used to use physical buttons, and then I found button savior

Btw, screen filter also has a safety feature just in case you set your screen too dark accidentally and can't see your screen
