What new features would you like to see?

Not in any form that's recognizable, like within each application so that you can copy something from a web page and paste it into a memo or something. I've looked at all the supposed apps for it, and am not seeing it...if I missed something please tell me. In the Palm, it was built into every app, even had keyboard shortcuts.

Not sure if listed but I'd like when I exit out of messaging or email app's, the next time I open the app it starts at the main view where you can see them all instead of just that email/sms ... like in handcent.

email enhancements

I would like to have the ability to go to the next or previous email without having to go back to the list screen and hopping over to the next.

1. Be able to select multiple emails, and easily like on my blackberry.

2. When I delete an email, or multiple emails, I want the option to delete on handheld & server OR handheld only (like on blackberry). I Love being able to keep only some emails on my phone, and also being able to keep my server (gmail ect) clean of the crap I don't want to keep at all.

Those are just a few of the things I love about my old blackberry bold.

This feature is only in the "Email" Application but not in the "Gmail" Application... I ONLY use the Gmail application so this is definitely on the wish-list for me...

I would also like bigger contact pictures in the phone dialer screen, and to be able to narrow down contacts as I dial letters in the phone dialer screen.

I need a speed dialer like the older Palm Treo.

Just enter the last 4 digits and hit DIAL, and my Droid recognizes the contact in my Phonebook and auto-dials the whole number. Also, the ability to be in PHONE, and just start entering someone's name, and it narrows down to the correct entry (like you describe above)

Any current app that does this? I've searched Marketplace, but haven't looked thru all the choices yet. Thanks!

I think what the OP was asking about was the BB ability to highlight multiple emails, or to use "Delete Prior" and quickly, and selectively bulk delete. The Droid, you still need to manually click each check mark box on the left, then click Delete. Especially for POP3 email, it's kind of a pain in the butt..

For Cory, Takephone is what you want. Yeah, you gotta pay for it. Still not updated for 2.0 and beyond, so it force closes now and then, but works like a charm otherwise. I'm an ex-Palmer too.

I would like a better notification on appointments. I would like it not to give up until the appointment is acknowledged somehow because often I miss it the first time. Maybe something like that could be an option for a missed call as well.

The thing that bugs me the worst is only having screen rotation to landscape one way. It needs to go both ways. Multitouch would be a big plus. There are certainly some email, hands free bluetooth, and synch issues, but those are pretty well discussed already. I guess we'll see what 2.1 does pretty soon, so I'm waiting to see.
