I can upgrade at virtually anytime with Verizon. I currently have a Galaxy Note 3. I used to be a Motorola Fanboy, but Samsung won me over with their features. I love my phone and have grown especially fond of the infrared remote control. The only problem I have is my signal has been horrible since I got the Note 3 and with each update (Kit Kat, Lollipop) it has gotten worse.

I thought about the Nexus 6 since I never had problems with the signal on my previous motorola phones, but it would be a lateral move from the Note 3, minus the infrared and it would be a downgrade compared to the Note 4.

I've been looking at the LG G4 and wonder if the Note 5 may have a better cellular radio. What are your opinions of a full featured high end phablet that gets good cell reception on Verizon?

I've never seen a lg g4 in person to be honest, but I really like the Note 4 a lot. I'd wait for the note 5 to be honest because after playing with the Galaxy s6 and s6 edge, they have the best displays I've ever seen on phone, I even put it next to the note 4 and it blew it out of the water. Wait for the note 5, only 2 months away!

I've noticed severe signal issues with Verizon in my area also. I believe that there's a chance your issues arent the phone. I don't want to speculate on what their issue is but it was bad enough for me to switch to an MVNO of AT&T. I did a prepaid carrier to try off-contract service before signing with a different company and honestly I am happier with my service and paying significantly less. Happy enough that I never even considered switching over to AT&T from Cricket.

The note 5 is a S6 with a pin. I went to the G4 and can still sign orders etc. Plus the battery can be changed our. Running a 200gb 93rd card. A note 3 was my last phone.
