What phone do you have? Do you like it and why? Have you had any problems with it? How long have you had it? Are you in contract or did you buy it in full price?
Just wondering

Re: phone you have

Hello mdk, I have the Sprint GS5 and love it, it's great!

No problems so far, got it on July 1 2014 with a contract.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4, got it on release day, October 18, 2014. Financed with AT&T Next. This is my first Android phone, so it was just a matter of learning a new operating system. No problems with the device at all.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4
LOVE it! Fast, Gorgeous Screen and Size, Removable Battery and long lasting, SPEN, use it for everything!
Only problem was: Old SD card made the phone do constant "IndexServicing" and was draining battery. Removed the SD card and no problems since!
Since Nov. 2014
Contract updgrade

Grabbed the Note 4 a day after it became available. Signed a 2 year contract, but I'll probably grab the Note 5 off contract next year if it has some great features that I really can't live without. I love the phone and have had no major problems. Occasionally Bluetooth doesn't want to connect, but other than that it's been great.

Re: phone you have

I've had my LG G2 since Nov. 2013. It's still a great phone. No issues since flashing custom ROM and kernel. I also have a few backup phones (Moto G, S3, S2 Skyrocket).

Re: phone you have

Right now I'm using my Note Edge. I like it because it's innovative and has the S Pen and a stellar camera.

Re: phone you have

GS3...slow, TW, mediocre camera, battery is shot, laggy, slow, laggy...did I say slow? Beat up, chipped, case falling apart, Samsung bloat, Verizon bloat...slow.

If the new phones don't come out soon I'm going back to a string between two cans. BTW...Sammy lost a customer with their boring successors to the GS3, S6 will probably be a snoozer too.

Re: phone you have

Motorola Moto E
Bought in October 2014 for $100
I really like the phone and i use it as my only phone. I don't like the extremely limited internal storage and lack of autofocus camera. Also the battery life is weak and the phone gets heated rather quickly while web browsing and gaming. Other than that its a sweet phone for just $100.

My phone is a Blackberry Z10 but my tablet is a Tab 4 8.0

Steep learning curve for your first Android I'm thinking, but maybe not.

Well done anyhow.

My first flying lesson (of only 7) was in a Cessna, not a 747.

Thanks, but many of my fears about moving to Android were (for me, anyway) unfounded. Any questions or concerns I had after receiving my Note 4 were resolved by visiting Android Central or Google.

My previous smartphones were Windows phone (Nokia Lumia 1520) and iPhone 3G and iPhone 4.

The iPhone fans told me I would regret it, because I would constantly be battling viruses and malware, but I told them I would exercise the same caution I use on my home computer - don't visit questionable websites or click on unknown sender's email links, and I try to stay away from open, unsecure wi-fi networks, etc. Mostly common sense, imo. I've never had a virus on my computer, and don't expect to have one on my phone, either. I'm happy with my Note the way it is, and don't feel that rooting is necessary for me.

I'm so happy I took the plunge to Android and my Note 4.

Re: phone you have

I think mostly anti - virus apps are unnecessary though some apps can help clear annoying adware others experience through websites or one or two dubious launchers, but I won't Go there.

You had some understanding and done research. I wonder how many Android noobies, smartphone noobies and technophobics found the Note 4 as a first phone. It will do the basics very well I guess.

OP - I have a Samsung Note 3 for 14 months. No reason to change it immediately, though if funds weren't tight I would upgrade to the Note 4.
I am more tempted to wait for a Note 4 or S6 with Lollipop pre-installed. It seems a shambles at the moment.

Re: phone you have

Amidst the sea of iPhones and Samsungs, I'm more than happy with my Sony Xperia Z3. It is a great phone, and has not given me any issues. It also helps that it has a seriously impressive battery that seems to go on forever on one charge.

LOL. Mine was the same way until I lost it.

Re: phone you have

Moto G for $150. It does everything I need.

Republic Wireless $10/month plan for unlimited talk/text. Back in the day before smart phones I went 10 years without data, so not having data isn't a big loss for me.

Re: phone you have

Day 11 with the Droid Turbo. I really like it but I hate to say I might trade it in for the Note 4. Never been a Samsung fan but it's got a lot of the things I'm looking for. I put Nova on everything I get anyway.

The Note 4 (and Note Edge) are both stellar devices. If you get a Note 4 without the camera focus issue (admittingly, many here have seen that) you'll be quite happy me thinks. With Nova Prime replacing the TouchWiz launcher the device is just top notch and I must admit mine is flawless. Highly recommended indeed.

I have the LG G3 and am extremely happy with the phone. Nova Prime with kitkat. Had it since August last year on contract.
