What phone offers the best battery life while using bluetooth?

I have bluetooth headphones that I use daily and an Android wear watch (Smartwatch 3). I leave bluetooth on 24/7 on my 6P, but in recent months bluetooth has been absolutely thrashing the battery life, and the signal strength is average at best.

Are there any phones or companies that do bluetooth better than the rest? I'm aware of the Moto Z Play, but Moto isn't really available where I live (NZ). What are my other options?
