What phone will you be giving up for the Epic 4g?

Moto Droid. My city just got 4G and with my employers discount ill still be saving money with unlimited everything. Can't wait to get my hands on that Super AMOLED goodness. :)

My wife is (finally!) ditching her old LG Rumor for the Epic, which is still on backorder with Best Buy. She's the only one on our four-phone family plan that has yet to migrate to Android. I've been letting her play with my Evo to lessen the learning curve that awaits her.

If I bail in favor of the new phone, I'll be dumping my EVO. Sure would like a real keyboard again!

I've been considering the Epic over my EVO 4G. Will be hard to leave the 4.3" screen and sense for the 4.0" and touchwiz. But that hummingbird processor and super amoled and qwerty keyboard just look too good.

Decisions decisions

Been using my Blackberry Bold 9650 for the last few weeks since I sold my EVO to get the Epic. Loved the EVO, but in just the short hour I have had the Epic in my hands I can already tell I will like it better.

Will be giving up my HTC Hero, Hope we dont have to wait too long for 2.2, I have kind of got use to the extra features.

My eyes! The goggles do nothing!

That hideous beast is actually the unholy spawn of HTC's previous attempt at a slider: the PPC 6700. That brick with its rhino horn weighed down my belt for two years. It was so bad i was actually thrilled with its replacement: the original Motorola Q.

The trauma lives on in my screen name.

Holy crap! That was my first HTC device. I thought it was great at the time, but you're right...it just looks hideous now. That was an update to a device that was similar in shape and had a massive hump at the top for the antenna.

If/when I end up getting the Epic, I'd be doing away with my Hero. It's been a good run with this device, but its just too laggy for me. I want a device that can be my primary media device AND phone, which the Hero has failed to provide for me.

Setting aside my Palm Pre. Although, I'm not convinced I'll be dumping it altogether. I might swap back and forth if I get the gumption.

I (and my fiance) gave up the Hero for the Epic. It wasn't a hard decision. When I first laid eyes on my Hero, I fell in love. It happened so fast, it took my breath away. But then, my Hero started acting like a petulant child, never wanting to do what I wanted to do. That's when the fighting started. It got to the point of missing friends calls and appointments. My Hero even messed with my alarm clock so I missed school. I got mad, my Hero gave me the cold shoulder, freezing on me for no reason.

I decided it was time to part ways.
