What phone will you be switching from?

What kind of phone are you swapping out for the Nexus S 4G?

I feel like I held out on Palm long enough, I had myself convinced that Palm was turning things around. The announcement in February was the last straw for me, and I am much happier now (except that darn Evo 3D hasn't come out yet and I'm still using this POS Pre-).

Pre- owner here, I am so excited to get my hands on a Nexus. I've been reading up one the forums, visted the forum post re: WebOS Homebrewers Guide to Android. I'm convinced that Android is the way to go and can't wait to get started.

Two things I'll miss:
1. Cards: Seems like the current Android apps out there that mimic cards are not fully baked or take up precious CPU (perhaps WebOS cards does too which is why my battery life is terrible).
2. MS Exchange Support: My company does not allow android phones to connect to the network. This was almost a deal breaker for me.

Those two issues are overwhelmed by dozens of positive things I have learned about Android and the Nexus S will seem like a space ship compared to my Pre-. Hey, and if WebOS turns around, there will always be next year to switch over. One thing for sure is I'm not a fan of iOS

I so agree. I will miss my pre - but until something better comes out for us WEBOS faithly I don't have a choice. The Nexus S is just so sexy. haha

Palm Pre (day 1) owner here, defecting for a look at the other side. But I won't think twice about going back to a webOS device if one became available on sprint. I'd sell the nexus in a heart beat. But we shall see how much it grabs me. I put webos 2.1 on my sprint pre minus. I enjoy webos 2.x, 1.4.5 is dull now. I won't go back. But 2.x on the pre doesn't operate very well. I need somthing that operates well. So nexus s 4g here I am.

Sprint told me I could revert back to the non-10$ charge if I returned the phone in 30days. So what the heck misewell.

Evo Shift 4g. Sense looked nice, but had too many issues with my work email. Sprint and HTC confirmed my issues were with the sense mail app. Yes, I could have rooted it, but I would rather leave it stock. Hoping the pure google experience will be better:).

Yup, coming from a Sprint Pre. Will miss the card system and the polish of webOS, but will definitely not miss how long it effing takes for gMaps to load or the severe lack of apps.

Had to jump on the Pre- bandwagon. I picked one up a week after launch. Much like everyone else, I think the OS is great but the lack of more than a handful of notable developers has really killed the usefulness of a smart phone with apps for me. After the announcement from HP that we are left with a phone that is no longer supported, gotta bail ship.

Switching from a feature phone. I won't miss anything :D (Maybe the high score I got on my free pac man game)

I will be switching from a Samsung Exclaim. Nothing wrong with it, I just think its about time I jump on the Android train.

I am switching from my Palm Pre. Let's just say the divorce will not be amicable.
