I can't use the CM9 ROMs - there are too many things that do not work for everyday use. In fact, almost every Droid 3 custom ROM I find an issue with - if it is not the missing functionality, it's with the mediocre theming, fonts, etc.
I don't mind the new Eclipse all that much, except that I don't like the typefaces and the dark theme in GMail all that much. Maverick is probably my third favorite.
I saw Hashcode's blog post the other night detailing why a fully-functional ICS ROM is doubtful for the Droid 3, and that he will shortly try to get a good CM7.2 ROM developed. I've always liked pure Cyanogen, and look forward to trying that one out.
There are not yet any fully functional CM ROMs. All are missing something, usually key things - camera, Bluetooth problems, audio problems. It's really best to stick with one of the close-to-stock ROMs (Maverick, the Gingerbread Steel Droid, Liberty.) Or just root stock and debloat it.
