I've only bought one SD card my entire life. This was when I got the Droid1. I've had it ever since. Now that I have the Tab A, I need a new card. What kind of SD card does the Tab A support? I just found out that there are different types of SD cards (SDHX, SDXC, etc) so I wan to make sure I get the right one.

Also, if I'm only using it to store my apps and crap I download (don't plan to take many pics or vids with it), would the Class 6 be good or would the Class 4 work just as well?

It takes a Micros SD up to 128Gb. If you want a Micro SD over 32Gb you need to look at SDXC (I think it stands for eXtended Capacity).

You should go for the highest class you can afford and would certainly recommend class 10. However even with a class 10 card be wary of putting anything on there that is running a widget or that would (in old terms parlance) Terminate Stay Resident for speed of start up. I tend to put games, apps I don't use much and things like that on there saving internal space for my daily apps and launcher.

Thanks for the info.

I know about installing apps to SD and how they can break/have bad effects due to things like Widgets, powered on indicators and such. I'm specifically looking at using it to store my games and rss app.

I put one of the SanDisk 200 gb cards in mine, and have had no issue with it. I travel a lot for work, so having the large card to store lots of movies, plus all my documents for work makes having a large card a necessity.
