what should i do if my screen is black but volume and all other buttons work?

My samsung galaxy tab 4 has a black screen with white lines, but i can still change volume and click apps i just cant see it. what do i do?

When you press where an app icon would be, does the app load and become visible?

The LCD panel is most likely shot. (You dropped the phone at least once, didn't you?) It probably requires a new screen. (It could have loosened a connector, or broken something on the motherboard. In any event, it has to go to the sop to be diagnosed. It's not something you can fix until you diagnose what's causing it, and you can't do that yourself.)
