What should we do when ?

Im running CM7, and in my sd card i have a lot of files, i dont know if i still need them for my phone to work or i just could removed them. like the roms or themes, could i just remove them or keep them on the phone. In my sdcard i have folders such as " clockworkmod, a folder containing googleapps, mikfroyo ( used to get the gps working), OTA_supersonic_3, PC36img, unrevoked-forever, unrevokedS-on. and more..,
Do i need them or could i removed the folders and just keep my backups... ...thanks for the help in advance...

To save space, I have one backup on my phone. The rest I have on my PC.
