What smart watch to get to compliment my Nexus 6??

I have the Stainless Band moto 360 and love it. It blends in nicely with my work flow and it has earned its place as my daily watch.

I think that will be my next move. Getting a few more bands to change up the look and style for different occasion's. I just need a decent screen protector for it.

I have a 360 and a G Watch R. I love them both, but the G Watch R is better to me with the always on screen. The 360 looks nicer, but the G Watch R functions better. For those that say theres no need for it, you must not work in a job where you can't have access to your phone all the time. As a teacher, I can't pull my phone out of my pocket every time it vibrates, but I can look at my watch and see what the notification was. If it's something important I can check my phone and deal with it. If not, I can ignore it until later. I love having a smart watch and don't leave home without it. My fiancée who's a nurse uses hers the same way. And she has agreed that having a smart watch is worth it. Either the 360 or the G Watch R would be a good choice, just depends if style or function are more important to you. For me, the G Watch R wins out, it also looks more like a traditional watch than the 360.

I went to the post office and picked up my moving lack and have the 10% bestbuy

I agree. I tried the 360 and the R and it was an easy decision to stick with the R. I returned the 360.

Nice.... if only I wore watches.... Have not worn one since like 1994....... OUCH!!!! I'm old....... but I do like the Moto 360 and for that price I might buy one just to watch it collect dust....

LOL old i still got you but love wearing a watch from a cheep digital to a nice Citizen and my new moto. It will come in handy when im on the floor and i can still see my notifications.

I am in the hunt for a watch since I got my Nexus 6. I always thought about it that maybe I would need one when I finally get the phone(took forever to get the 64gig) because I knew ahead of time the hassle I would get.

I didn't realize how MANY it was out there, china made and all. I've been reading on them and what I want in a watch I seem to only find reading the comments Q&A on Amazon. I may have to bite the bullet and buy an expensive one(Moto or LG R). I am tired of pulling it out ever time I get a vibration. I like holsters and the one I have is rubberized and pain to pull out(seems to be still limited on Nexus 6 Holster cases).

I just want one that you can talk through and reply back to text messages via voice through the watch, I don't care about heart rate, GPS and weather. But it appears asking for a watch without those functions is like asking for a HDTV without the smart capabilities.

At this point in time, you cannot use Android Wear devices as a microphone for voice calls. You can, however, use voice dictation for messages including text messaging.

I tried both the Pebble and Gear Live, and while I enjoyed them both, I found they didn't really add value to the Nexus 6 experience (particularly since Ambient display and Always Listening pretty much make accessing features not really harder by pulling out your phone as using a watch).

I decided to go in a different direction: I now use my $30 Bluetooth earbud (HX550 - love it), in conjunction with Hint2Search and Touchless Notifications apps, as an alternative. Now if I'm out walking, or in my car, I can just hit the button on my earbud to access Google Now, send texts, make calls, etc. And if a notification comes in, it reads aloud.

Yeah I had the HX550 it was sweet but fell out of my ear into my cup.

That figures, I swear they milking the features for more money(cant blame em). So basically its either being able to talk through it or voice to text. I was looking at Berowatch Air W2(cant post link because of my post count) because you can talk through it but after reading it, I decided against it. Appears to be too loud and although it sounds cool I could see how it could be annoying around people and I work with alot of people.

After many sleepless nights I decided I would rather be able to at least read emails and texts and be able to reply to them with voice then using it to talk. Even without talk to text, I want my email and text to be readable and rich looking and a fancy interface.

I just lined up at least 30 you tube videos on watches to my watch later playlist to also help me decide. I will post later on what I will get but with me and my indecisiveness, it could take a few days.

Luckily you can pick those up extremely cheap on eBay or Amazon - I tend to use the earloop, as mine used to fall out quite a bit.

well that decision didn't last long. After a couple of videos, it was love at first site.

My choice is Moto 360, what a beauty it was. I couldn't help it. Check it, I called Tmobile and asked for the BLACK one they said they had it. So I went down there but they didn't have the black one they had the silver one with black arm band. I said nah I want the black one meaning I have to buy it from Google Play. He said its a 30 day back guarantee he pushed me. So I walked out the store with the silver one, because I had to have it. I think they just wanted commission, prior to that I seen them giving dap on a sale of a UEBoom box.

My plan is to order the black one and use this silver one until the black one come in.

Its charging now but WOW this thing is BEAUTIFUL.

Bought my Moto 360 the same time I got my Nexus 6. I love it, and I get a ton of compliments ["Is that the new Apple watch?" :)]

I think it adds a lot of value strictly in a convenient notification device so that my phone can stay in my pocket.
