Interestingly, I thought Android M and I.O.T. did...until Google showed the Photos app.

Dang, the free unlimited photos up to 16MP and videos up to 1080p backup sold me.

This was a big deal for me, IMHO.

Finally, I can disable unnecessary permissions for apps without root. Hell, why does a flashlight app need access to my phone and contacts?!

Hands down, this is the big one for me along with the improvement to Photos app. I detest the current Photos app.

M will release this fall. The question is when exactly. It also depends on what device you have as well.

If I may talk about something that annoyed me rather than pleased me, it would be the app permissions things. It's going to be really annoying for developers like me, as apps can and will misbehave if they don't have the permissions they need...but I'm sure Google has already thought of that.
