What the heck could have happened

Today my galaxy S24 ULTRA was wit king just fine as it did since I bought it new direct from Samsung. I used it, put it in my pocket, and next time 8 went to use it the only thing that showed up on my screen were pages containing all my apps. That's it. I started to delete the pages 1 by 1, but after deleting 2, the rest would not delete. I tried everything. Nothing worked so I did a factory Dara reset and am now using smart switch to copy my S21 ULTRA to the S24. My question is, does anyone have any idea why this would have happened?

There is an option for different layout of the start screen, where all apps are visible on main screen and there is no app drawer. Pinch in on home screen and enter the settings. Could have happened in your pocket maybe?

Could be caused by sweaty thigh surfing as I have reported happening to me previously.

(fixed using an old mouse mat shaped to fit as a pocket liner)

You were definitely on the homescreen, and not the App Drawer?

So after the factory reset everything is normal again?

Your mouse mat conversion is a pretty good idea! Good resourcefulness.

Ok, yes I was definitely on the home screen, and yes, so far, everything is normal after factory reset. Thank goodness I back up my devices periodically.

The only thing that still is not working, is the "nearby device" option. Everything is set up correctly, and both my phones(both running 1ui7), the device shows up on both phones. But when I drag, I get the n message, THIS DEVICE DOESN'T SUPPORT DRAGGING TO CONNECT. I'm on an S24 ULTRA and S21 ULTRA both running 1ui7.
