So I went into the Sensation's phone info menu using the app of the same name, clicked on the 'set preferred network type' and it brought up something quite bizarre.

In addition to the usual GSM options (WCDMA preferred, GSM Only, WCDMA Only, and GSM Auto), it also includes a bevy of options for CDMA. (CDMA Auto, CDMA Only, EvDo Only, GSM/CDMA Auto). These options also appear if you go to the menu through the Sensation's keypad (*#*#4636#*#*).

This is quite odd. Does the Sensation secretly have support for all of those bands, or is it just a software remnant for a forthcoming CDMA version. It doesn't really change anything, just thought it was interesting enough to pass along.

My friend who is a long time TMobile Manager said it had a pentaband radio, take it for what it is worth.

Pentaband would only cover GSM though, wouldn't it?

I just thought it was odd. I'm thinking it might just be an oversight on HTC's part.
