What time available at the store on Tue?

Bit narked. Got to the pay button twice and the thing just hung and went nowhere. Wait for next batch I suppose.

wtf..it is only showing the 8GB model of the N4

I had a 16gb kicked out of my basket a couple dozen times then, including as I was going through shipping info. Pretty gutted, stayed up half the night and got up super early!

I'd keep refreshing for a while. It's possible some people have them in their baskets and can't complete with all the server issues, they'll get returned to stock for sale I expect.

it's working now.

i was on the fence about 8GB or 16GB. i needed one now as i'm selling my SGS2 so i went ahead and purchased the 8GB. time to make my smartphone lean and mean!

order confirmed on Google Wallet.

looks like 2-day shipping for 10 quid is standard, or did my order process skip a screen or two?

looks like both have sold out in the UK now as they both have the Notify Me button
I'm going to assume that there is a higher demand for this device in the UK/AUS due to the fact that most people in the US are diehard LTE lovers, and don't see this device being as awesome as it really is

agreed. the UK gadget sites like CNET UK, TechRadar, Gizmodo UK, etc. jizzed all over this thing, whereas Verge, VentureBeat (did you see their pathetic excuse for a review yesterday?) couldn't get past the no-LTE.

the other thing that a lot of sites completely didn't get or emphasize nearly enough is the incredible price of the Nexus 4. getting the price of a premium smartphone down to these levels might be the single biggest smartphone innovation since the original iPhone.

anyway, after placing my 8GB order i hung around on play to see if any 16GB versions got hung up in shopping carts and would be sent back into inventory, but that doesn't look like it happened. oh well. i'll learn to live with 8GB. i don't do much if any gaming so no need to store 1GB games like Six Guns. i can instant upload photos and videos to G+ to keep my photo/video storage needs to a minimum. Google Music's matching/cloud locker service will cover my personal mp3 collection. so that leaves my 6GB of offline Spotify music. it might fit but if it doesn't i won't cry over having to unsync a few playlists to keep that trim. so i think i'll be fine.

the other reason i'm feeling good about the 8GB is that this version, not the 16GB, is the real steal of a deal. i'm going to be in the U.S. in a six weeks and i suppose i could have waited then to order it for even less than we get in the UK ($299 +9.75% Californiat sales tax works out to about ?205), but i'm really anxious to have this phone ASAP and i wasn't confident that the resale value on my SGS2 would hold up through then as word travels about how sweet a deal this phone is. anyone who is aware of the Nexus 4 and can still spend close to the the same amount of money right now for an SGS2 has two and only two excuses: 1) they absolutely have to have the expandable microSD storage and or 2) replaceable battery.

receipt confirmation just arrived in my email so looking forward to having my Nexus 4 on Thursday!

Complete Farce. Added to basket could not complete purchase. Then not available. The received email saying available after sold out.

Same here, tried twice, got as far as the payment screen only to have it crash. No emails, nothing. Then got the screen saying to be notified when in stock. Got to work and it appears I've purchased 2 x 16Gb models, which is good, and bad also. Ahh well, I'll cancel one of them.

Don't cancel it, someone on here, me for instance, would take it off your hands.

I'll buy one off you!

It's quite interesting to note that although I subscribed to the "notify me" service using three different email addresses, at this moment in time only the Gmail address has received said notification about the N4 becoming available.

I'm still a little narked by the performance of the Google servers. I really thought they would be better prepared to handle huge online demand but as it turned out it was just like trying to snag hot concert tickets with all of the associated system meltdowns. Bit disappointing so I hope they make up for it by restocking quickly.
