HI. I'm a uk user with lg g3 and suffering with the recent battery drain issues. I'm wondering whether to root the lg g3. Never done it before but would like to know the benefits from doing it
You should! Then you can install CyanogenMod! And you can delete bloatware. You can also make FULL backups of your phone. If there are software issues you can fix them. I say you should root and install CyanogenMod 12 for your LG G3. CyanogenMod gives you lots of cool functions and it gives you a stock Android look and feel.I'm wondering whether to root the lg g3. Android system and android os are draining my battery. Loosing 20-25% charge on stand by over night. I've always wanted to root and learn about it too be honest
Read up on some tutorials. There are a lot of them. Familiarize yourself with the terms, methods, and restrictions.
Since you're on 5.0 already, you'll have to downgrade your phone back to stock and then root and continue. This is currently the only way to do it.
No, it's a bit more complicated than that. You'll have to flash a stock image using a tool built for a Windows PC. You can read about the process here:How do I get back to kit Kat? Factory reset?
