At this point we all know that the Bionic is on its way. What we don't know officially is when. A funny thing happened to me when I was out shopping...I had parked my car and got out. I took 2 steps and I hear something smack the ground. I look down and its my phone. I didn't think nothing of it because my phone has fallen on the ground multiple times and nothing has happened. This time though, it happened. The screen is cracked. I'm the type of guy that when I look at this it makes me mad. I just happen to be near a Verizon store so I go in there just to see what they say. I show the guy my phone and he asks if I have insurance and pulls out the asurion card out of his pocket and tells me to call or go to the website to make a claim. I'm a little hesitant at this point if I want to do that. I don't want to pay $100 for a phone that I may be using for a couple of weeks. At the same time, I wanted to sell my phone when the Bionic came out. No one is going to buy a phone with a cracked screen. If I get a new phone I can sell the phone when the Bionic comes out. If I don't that saves me money now and I can get the Bionic but I wouldn't be able to sell the phone that I have now due to the screen. What should I do? Should I pay the deductible now and sell it to someone when the Bionic comes out or should I keep my phone and just hold out until the Bionic comes? By the way, I can still see the display and its fully functional from what I can tell. Any advice is greatly appreciated :)

If you're comfortable with it, replace the screen yourself. You said everything works and screens are fairly cheap.

Rad,

sorry for your loss:'(

iirc, you bought a phone to tide you over until D-Day. i think your intent was to buy the bionic at full retail, but sell this one to offset the cost of the bionic. i'm thinking you need to eat the cost of replacing this phone so you will have one to re-sell. otherwise, you will be paying full price for the bionic.

How much do"like new" incredibles sell for? If it sells more than $100, what do you have to lose?

Well I am upgrade eligible and I was on the asurion website and they are willing to give me a Dinc 2 for $99 as my deductible for a replacement. Now what should I do? And I always hear about people saying that they are going to put their phones on ebay for a bout $200-$300...I just go off of what other people say. Not quite sure how much I can really get for it.

My suggestion to you:

Go to Craigslist and buy a cheap phone, you can get the droid X and the OG Droid for less than $100 these days.. then when the droid bionic comes up.. just do a new 2 years thing :)

So you like an OG Droid and a Droid X off craigslist better than a Dinc 2 from asurion?

I recently replaced a digitizer on an old samsung phone. Part cost $7 including shipping on ebay.

You would probably be able to get more money from selling a Inc2 than you would trying to sell an og droid or an X.

My thoughts exactly. I'm going to go ahead and get the Dinc 2...Its supposedly an upgrade from the original and its only $99 from asurion and I'll still have my upgrade from verizon so at this point why not??

do it.

best option.

I can't see myself using a Palm Pixi Plus for 2 weeks. I like android and I have big hands.
If you're getting the DInc 2 for $99 off contract then that is definitely the better deal as you'll be able to sell it after the Bionic comes out for more money. The Pixi would be good as a cheap last resort.
