So I still have the Note 7 , and I live in Canada , which samsung has sold 23000 units ,so I would like to know if I'm good to go before samsung replaces my phone ,I've been charging the phone , well I also disabled fast charging , so what does everyone thank thanx

I would do what makes you feel most comfortable, not what other people recommend. Your battery may be operating perfectly right now but whose to say it will tomorrow. I decided to get a loaner just because of the Samsung email telling everyone to power it off and either return it for a refund, exchange it for a different phone or get a loaner. That email was their legal way of saying we are no longer liable for any damage that may occur should the battery in your phone rupture. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they are concerned about people's safety as well but it's kind of a 2 birds with one stone type of thing.

Have there been any reported issues in Canada as yet Olga that you've heard? Just for knowledge - not to change the decision!

There's been 1 reported incident , and that's someone claiming that there Note 7 got very very warm , but no meltdowns ,as reported abroad....also I've had mine since Aug 29th , I've charged it numerous times , but as soon as Samsung notifies me ,I'm getting it replaced with another Note 7 ...it's a great phone cheers
