What to use to convert .3g2 video for PC playback?

Hey guys,

Couple of quick questions on video conversion and the HERO. I thought you might have some suggestions!

Do you guys have any recommendation on file converters?

Is there a way to make the Hero record in a different video format by default?

good question... I've actually never taken video with my phone and then put it on my computer. First guess is that Quicktime can play it (I'm on a mac). Otherwise, I'm sure Windows Media can play it with a plugin if it doesn't by default. I don't know which plugin though, just know for .avi's

VLC (VideoLan) plays them. No codecs needed.

Thanks for the tips. I'm wanting to get it into a format that is acceptible to various types of equipment...PC, PS3, netbook etc..

I'll keep researching a good and free file converter to change them to something like .mpg or .avi or .mp4

I'll post back if I find a good one

handbrake is your best bet..might need a codec for it tough, not sure...
