What type of Hub is needed to connect USB-C display, wired keyboard and wired mouse to S25u to use DeX?

Any USB-C hub with video output should suffice, but it is highly recommended that you use one that has Power Passthrough capabilities (a powered hub was required in previous phones but I've used the S25 on a monitor with a non-powered hub before).

Looking at a bunch of Hubs/Docs in the past few days and these two look like they should work and give me a clean configuration on my desk i.e. my wife removing the laptop and leaving me with my S25U using Dex to keep me half way productive for a few hours or a couple of days.

I think either one would work fine with Dex. Does anyone have experience with either of these or other Hub?

The cost of the Anker 575 is $219.99, but the 556 needs a 100W wall charger and a quality charging cable which would cost $75 - 95, so the cost is fairly close in the end.

I've no experience with those, but at those prices, it may be overkill if you just want to use your phone on a monitor and/or with mouse/keyboard. I've used it with one of those sub-15-dollar hubs (most are flat, small, rectangular 4-port plus HDMI hubs) with one of the myriad of chargers I have lying around the house with no issues. DeX is nice, but not all that powerful and will not be able to take full advantage of the extra features on those overpriced hubs, TBH. I'd only get those if you have something else you'd like to use with them (like a more feature-packed laptop/computer), but to each their own.

This is what I have been using for a Hub for the past several years and it has work fine for my Dell XPS set up on my desk. However I could not get Dex to work with it, connecting the USB C wired displays, wired keyboard and wired mouse. If I plug the S25U directly to the Display USB C cable Dex comes right up on the displays, no issues and I am able to use it with the S25U as a mouse pad/navigation pad.

Going to the next level of Hubs with pass through power may be my next option. Also, being able to charge my laptop from a Hub is very convenient vs having to drag out the laptop charger all the time and remember to put it in my backpack when I leave the house.

It looks like the more stable pass through power set ups use 100W wall changers. Unfortunately I do not have any working 100W wall chargers in my stock right now so I have to factor that in my decision. I think SpookDroid is correct that a power through Hub/Docking Station that will charge a lap top, Cellphone, Tablet, etc. is a couple of levels up from a $14.99 Hub. Will keep researching tomorrow to see what additional options are. If anyone has additional thoughts please chime in.

I've used the S25 with a cheapo Anker one before, as long as the hub is USB-C with display support (yes, USB-C cables/hubs ARE different if they don't support video... good thing we have a standard, right?! :( ). The hub you have above is an USB-A/B and likely an older model that won't necessarily work with the newer phones. Here's how I connect it: USB-C from hub to phone, USB-C charger into USB-C port in hub (optional, but preferred since your phone works overtime when using DeX!), mouse/keyboard on Bluetooth (but you can use the hub as well), HDMI from TV/Monitor to Hub.

Yes I agree. It looks like the Anker 555, 8 in 1 Hub ($56).might do the trick. Two of my top criteria are stability and convince for me and my wife who I share the laptop with. So still going through the different scenarios.
