What type of keyboard to buy - Galaxy Tab 2 7"

So I want a keyboard for my SG Tab2 7". There are several out there that are built into or set into a case. That's what I want. However, I am no expert by any means. I note that there are TWO types of keyboards that work for the Tab2. One is Bluetooth wireless and the other is a USB connection.

So, what are the pros and cons of both???

Will I loose any capabilities if I go with one rather than the other?

Does the USB keyboard connect to the charging / data port on the Tab2?

Anyone have any experience with these keyboards; silicone vs hard key, etc?

Thanks so much All !

I would definitely recommend a bluetooth connection. I have a rigid bluetooth keyboard I bought on ebay that snaps on the front of the tablet to serve as a cover and has a slot to hold the tablet when typing. But about any bluetooth keyboard should work.

Thanks PDUFFER. But, can you tell me WHY you recommend a Bluetooth connection versus a USB connection. How do they differ, other than the obvious physical attributes.

Thanks

If you want to use a USB keyboard you will need an OTG adapter. It has a wide plug for the Tab-2 on one end and a female USB connection on the other. It has to be OTG (on the go) adapter. Then you can use any standard USB keyboard. The keyboard will get power from the Tab-2. If you use a powered USB hub it will keep from draining the battery. You can also plug a mouse into the OTG adapter or USB hub and it works similar to a mouse on your computer!

Look on Ebay for Tab-2 OTG adapter to see what is available. Never seen one in a store!

ps, The OTG adapter does not work with a TAB-3
