So what type of Android user do you consider yourself? Coming from Blackberry, Android was a big change for me. I doubt I use this phone for what it is capable of on a day to day basis. I just text, browse the web, read different websites that I enjoy. Did I get more phone than I would ever need??

What do you use on a daily basis that might set you apart from a regular user? Any apps you would recommend?

Good question. I consider myself somewhat of a power user. I use this phone for a lot of things. Texting, email, chat (facebook, gtalk), web, RSS, twitter, Facebook, podcasts (doggcatcher well worth investment), music (subsonic=amazing, pandora, ESPN radio), flashlight (its amazing how much I use it). I guess I use pretty much everything I can think of. Running Cyanogenmod 6.1.

I use it a ton, too: text/e-mail, calendar, tasks/to-do list w/ Astrid, Google Navigation, streaming music on Rhapsody, Pandora, and mSpot, playing music from my library on DoubleTwist, FB/Twitter/Foursquare, podcasts w/ Google Listen, news on Google Reader, games, and best of all... wifi hotspot tethering to surf the web my laptop when I'm traveling.

I'm sure there are more I could list, but those are the biggies I can think of.

I don't use the G2 but I would be lost without my DX. I barely use my PC at all when I'm home. It's kind of crazy how dependent we become to our phones!

I think I'm somewhere in the moderate to heavy use category. From a G1 to a few months with a MTSlide (until I lost it last week) to now expecting a G2 in the mail tomorrow, I find the following:
- With 2 hours on the road for a daily commute, the phone is always in use for podcasts & navigation & traffic watch...or playing some tunes.
- At the office, my Androids rarely went more than an hour or two without me messaging or frankly, checking some latest app somewhere...or adjusting the endless calendar of events and to-do's, or even sneaking in a quick game or two, or futzing with a mode look or sound...or checking apps reviews online...or....
- At home, maybe a few hours go by at most before making a call, message, email, tethering my laptop, more futzing, grabbing pics of the kids in action, etc.

Yep...maybe I'm closer to a heavy user. REALLY looking forward to the G2's arrival tomorrow. Like, I'm silly giddy about it...embarassingly so.
