What version android?

I have a friend that has a captivate. He is still running eclair. Is this correct? Shouldn't he be on froyo at least? His phone is completely stock never been rooted. Has there not been an ota push?

Yeah, he should be on Froyo. I believe he has to update via the Kies software. It's not over the air. I was going to do it at the time, but I lost my phone and my replacement had Froyo pre-loaded. I'm kinda surprised his wasn't if he got it recently.
