What will be the first things you'll do to nexus!

Getting tethering up and running and thoroughly testing the 4G LTE network with my grandfathered unlimited data. :p

I'm going to cry a little bit because it's been a while since I've been on Android and I swear each day I missed it more and more. I'll stare at it for like an hour slowly caressing it taking in all it's beauty then proceed to having my way with her lol. Excuse me for a sec it's been a long time for me and I have to prepare myself so tonight I'll be watching all her videos on YouTube til I can see her in person.

How do you do it? And what exactly does it do? I'm sorry for sounding like a . I never have a chance to learn these things with all the deployments, and reg grunt life.
It's not a terribly difficult process, though I don't have it memorized or anything. I know you need to download the fastboot drivers (if you're running Windows) and use the fastboot-windows.exe program to send the command. On linux or other OS's the Android SDK basically installs the fastboot drivers so all you need to do is plug in the phone via USB when it's in bootloader mode, send the command and it unlocks the bootloader (once it wipes the user's data of course).

What unlocking the bootloader does is enable the user to flash (install) custom software onto the phone without having any obstacles. The unlockable bootloader is one of the reasons I've held off on upgrading for so long, since a phone with a bootloader that's locked (and encrypted like they usually are, which makes it practically impossible to unlock) is really hard to hack into.

Hopefully that cleared things up. (And to other people, I probably made a few mistakes, feel free to correct me)
