what will samsung do

Any one know if samsung will give some kind of deal for the note 8. To those that had to get rid of the note7 for. s7e

I think it will be business as usual. Samsung definitely messed but but they did do a lot to try correct the issues, some given a free S7 Edge as a replacement device, some were given Micro SD Cards and Gear VR headsets so Samsung were saying sorry in their own way. There might be a 'extra' trade in deal for those using a Note 5 or Galaxy S7 Edge to make the cost a little cheaper. :)

Now there's an idea I like! My Note 5 is sitting here waiting for something like that to materialize!!! Take a little "Sting" off the price of the new Beast when it finally arrives! :)

How long have you had your note 5. That's what I'm using at the moment

I'm going to say August of 2015 when I switched to AT&T Amy. I kept in when I got my first Note 7 instead of trading it in or selling it, thank God - saved my butt twice during the Original/Replacement Note 7 Return Crisis. About 2 weeks after that, the battery life of the Note 7s just made the Note 5 seem, well - I ended up buying an S7 Active (4000 mAh). That's why the Note 5 is in a box!

I didn't realize the 7 active had that size of a battery. My edge only had 3600.

Exactly this. I thought Samsung had mentioned some sort of incentive of us Note 7 users when the Note 8 was due out although I haven't read anything more about it. They better get it right this time!

I remember that article but in it, it only referred to customers in Korea which is a shame but we will have to wait and see if they do anything.
