I'm new with Droid and my S5. I'm also with Verizon and I don't think I'm loading enough on my 64gig scan card. I've done a little researching and what I read is if I use Dropbox and can easily upload lots of items to my scan-card vs what Verizon allows. Is this true??

When you say 64GB scan card do you mean micro SD card? If so you can remove it from the phone and plug it into a card reader attached to your computer and load it with whatever you want. You can even create custom folders for various data etc..
You can also attach your phone to the computer and do the same with the phone makers software installed onto the computer.
Dropbox is a fine backup cloud as is GoogleDrive and Copy..

I use Box and am happy with it. I would recommend Dropbox or Box.

Dropbox is a great program. The current problem you'll have isn't with dropbox per say, but with Kitkat, which blocks dropbox from copying anything directly to your SD card. Makes it much more difficult to use.

Dropbox was JUST updated and will now write to the SD card.

When you choose a file to put on your SD card, you need to use Export. Then Save To Device. Once you're IN Save to Device, you need to hit the settings, and check Advanced. Then you'll finally get the option to put the file anywhere on your device. Once you've chosen Advanced, it doesn't seem as if you need to do it everytime you download something, just the one time.

Yay for devs overcoming stupidity!
