What's grippier? Black back or leather?

I have a chalk white back and compared to my brothers blue leather it is more slippery. Unavoidable though is the slick metal band. I've already dropped my phone once because of it. You have to put a finger or two on the display when pulling out phone from pocket.

I had the same question and tested the grip on the black leather and the black soft touch at AT&T side by side. In the end I found the soft touch had more grip and actually liked the feel better.

The soft touch black back, which is what I have, almost feels rubbery. My problem with gripping the phone was the slick aluminum band (just like others have reported) so I had to put a case on it anyway. The back had plenty of grip, but where I actually hold it was too thin and slick for my tastes.

I have navy leather its not all that grippy but its not slippery either . I mean if u put it on top of odeo meter in the car n when u have steap turn ,it won't slide n its plastic where I put my phone while driving . but if u put on ur palms n flat out ur palm n trying to move it , it will move ,it won't stay sticky like really grippy but defiantly won't slide if u talking about sliding while driving . hope this helps
