What's the best backup method

I'm old school. I was working at IBM when they finally managed to get 3 transistors on one chip. I believe in backups and being able to possess the backups. I don't like the concept of backing up to "the cloud".

What's the BEST method to back up all on my Note 8 to my SD card so I can move the file to other computers, and if need be restore easily.
