What's the best course of action for greater stability?

flashing an older version of a kernel won't do any harm? And more importantly, am I going to be missing anything that's in the newer Kernel by flashing this version?
Flashing the older kernel will not do any harm. I flashed this one back over the newer one once I experienced the same issue you are describing. I am sure there are some differences better the two but the phone runs great with the older one too.

Zero problems with voodoo here. Un-installed and reinstalled over 100 times with zero problems. Voodoo is stable regardless of what people on here will tell you. Most people knocking it have never tried it. Which is probably better than having more people not reading the instructions and soft bricking their phone. Sorry for the rant, but the devs have done a great job on voodoo and I hate to see people ragging on that great job because they couldn't RTFM!

I have tried many different themes/roms/etc.. and while I did try voodoo I was not happy with it. There is nothing wrong with it but me being really new to having a smart phone I had issues with it.. Probably user error on that part.. LOL

What I am using right now and have been for a few days is I have updated to DJ05 - geeknik 1.54 - Super Dark Theme (DJ05).. I couldn't be more happier.. To me it is stable (i.e. no FC) - looks great and the GPS is almost an instant lock. I might also add that the battery life is far better than anything else I have used thus far. I had 95% at the start of the day (8am PST) and here it is 7pm PST and I still have 51% and was using it a lot.

I know that the DJ05 is still very new so buyer beware but I am really happy with it thus far.

Hey everyone, thanks for the suggestions.

I got rid of voodoo and went to stupidfast 1.0.36. The benchmark is lower, but it really does seem a lot snappier.

Benchmarks honestly don't really mean a whole lot, especially if you are getting good performance out of your device
