What's the best dev phone for beginning programming?

Guy at Best buy said a Moto or an essential phone. I have a pixel 2 XL and I don't wanna use that as a dev phone as it's my main one.

The Essential Phone maybe the best way to go, they have even released the Android P Beta for it.

I'd say the best two for this would be:

- OnePlus 6
- Essential Phone
