I am currently on a sprint family plan paying about $55~ for unlimited everything and I want to find something cheaper.

There's a lot of prepaid plans out there and I wanted to get everybody's opinion on what's good out there.

So far I have heard the following prepaid plans:

1. tmobile $30 plan
2. straight talk $45
3. virgin mobile $35
4. boost mobile $50, after 18 months it is $35

The cheapest plan is the Tmobile plan, but 100 minutes is kind of low to me. The best to me would be virgin mobile, but I really want to use 1. iphone 5 2. HTC one and currently they don't sell either of those (or if they will at all).

are there any other plans out there I didn't mention?

and what do you guys think is the best plan out there (pr anything that is cheaper than my current plan) ?

Solavei is a good option. It's a T-Mobile prepaid MVNO. You pay $50/month for unlimited everything (with data throttled at 4GB). They also have this great referral program where your monthy payment is reduced permanently by $20 for every 3 people you refer.

that's pretty awesome, thanks for that!

are you using it right now? whats your review on it?

I'm not using it (using the $30 T-Mobile plan since I don't talk on the phone much), but I know runtmms uses it.

I'd look into Cricket as well... gonna be about what you are paying now with Sprint, but you will be able to use the iPhone 5.

According to a Tmobile rep that I talked to, it's possible to use the $30/month prepaid plan and also buy additional minutes at pay-as-you-go pricing if you run out. Haven't tried this for myself though.

Net10 $45 plan for unlim t+t w/ 1.5gb on AT&T (good option instead of Straight Talk because Net10 still sells the AT&T sim cards)
