What's the deal with the ridiculously weak vibration?

Just picked up a Black Friday special on the Huawei Watch and love a lot about the watch but I basically miss nearly every notification because the vibration motor is so ridiculously weak. I know there's an Android App to help control the vibrations, but at the moment I have my Huawei paired to my iPhone 6s Plus to test it against the Apple Watch so it looks like no solution there since there is no access to the Android App store from the iPhone.

Any thoughts from the community? Having such weak vibrations along with no ding sound (like the Apple Watch has) almost defeats the purpose of wearing a smartwatch for me since I thought I was buying it to inform me when notifications came in!

Don't have an answer for you since I no longer have an iPhone but I will say that when paired with an android phone the vibration on the Huawei is as noticeable to me as the one on the Apple Watch paired with an iPhone.

I have to admit that I was concerned about the vibration strength also. I think I even made a thread about it. However, after having the watch for about a month, it hasn't been an issue. I haven't missed notifications.

Glad to hear. U have one on the way now and have Nexus 6p to pair it with. Excited!

The vibration is very weak. This is coming from a owner of a Gear S watch. On the Gear S, you could feel every vibration, at times I think it's too strong, maybe that's why they made it weaker on the Gear S 2.

I have a metal band now and it does help a little but still weak. I downloaded feel the wear but haven't really used it yet, maybe I'll try it this weekend. It's suppose to help by making it vibrate more often because only Huawei has access to the motor and I'm not sure they can increase it via software. Btw it was also weak on my Urbane 2 before I returned it.

the vibration is very weak indeed. but your arm adapts to it and notices it better over time.
my main problem with it is, that the vibration is quite loud while being quite weak. this is especially irritating when taking exams in school and everyone else notices you got a notification ^^
