What's the default clock speed?

I'm using SetCPU for the Epic and it says max 1000mhz and min 200 mhz as main profile. My question is if setcpu automatically clocks the phone or do you have to press a certain button to activate it? And what should min be? Thanks!

200 is because the phone is set to on demand by default, 800 seems to be the standard, 1000 max without overclock. I've seen up to 1.2 on linpak. But no one is releasing their custom kernel yet.

I'm running the Andromeda custom kernel as we speak, but there's no overclocking on it. The screen off underclock worked for me first, but now it seems to freeze sometimes. I had to turn off the profile until I can get a more stable solution.
