What's up with my battery life?

I was feeling like my battery was draining pretty rapidly. I've had my phone for a year. I fully charged it and then restarted the phone, and left it locked without opening any apps. After an hour it was at 97% with about 13 hours left based on usage. Standby time should be 455 hours, based on specs.

My LG G3 used to show over one thousand hours of battery life after a full charge and minimal use. I think it worked out at about seven weeks.

it's because now 8.1 works out how much battery is remaining on the things you have been doing since going of charge

for example I could be on Twitter for an hour and go to 95% battery with 13 hours left but if I only use the phone for six minutes the next three hours it goes to saying I've got 18 hours left.
