What's up with my screen?

I don't know what's going on with my screen. Not sure if you guys/gals can see this or not, but in the upper right hand corner of my screen I have a "half-moon" shaped shadow that is constantly there. Has been for about a month now. It's there regardless of screen orientation, wallpaper, launcher, website, home screen, etc. Anyone else experience anything like this?

Thanks.

(Edit: Removed the photos. Unfortunately, the screenshot is not showing the shadow)

Possibly. However, this shadow is extremely dark. As dark as the black of the battery percentage, clock, etc. It's there regardless of the shade of the wallpaper or the web page that I'm on. I've experienced some screen burn from the capacitive buttons, but nothing like this.

Oh yea this is a issue on the older s6 s7 edges something to do with pressure on the screen from the curves it is marked as a manufacturers defect the ones Ive seen like that normally didnt get much worse. But this was on curved displays If its under warranty you may be able to get it swapped Unless you dropped it in that corner

Ok. Weird. Well, I have dropped the phone before. Not an extreme drop though. Can't really say if it was dropped on that specific corner or not however. Either way, I can live with it for a while because I'm more than likely going to be ordering the 3 or 3XL next week anyway. I've already returned a previous 2XL once because of a faulty charging port and they sent me a new one. Thanks for the insight. I was just wondering if anyone else happened to experience anything like this.

Certainly looks like a display problem, particularly if it stays in the same place when you switch to landscape orientation. And of course a screenshot wouldn't show it because the screenshot shows what it thinks it's drawing, not what you actually see.
It would be worth booting into Safe mode just in case there's some app that has an overlay running, but I'd contact Google support anyway - it'd have to be one hell of a whack to cause the display to go out like that - I'm sure you'd remember it.

Thanks for the tip. I rebooted into SafeMode and, unfortunately, the problem still exists. I'll contact Google and see if they have any insight to the problem. If it's a display issue I may just have to live with it for a few more weeks.

With the photos you have of the defect, you should have no problem getting a replacement.

I'm going to try to contact Google here shortly. Like I mentioned earlier, I plan on purchasing either the 3 or 3xl next week so I may just wait this one out unless the shipping date on the new phone is extremely far out.

Edit: Contacted Google. They will replace my phone and/or receive credit toward products they already have in stock. Couldn't give me credit toward the 3 or 3XL since neither are being sold just yet. Said to check back on launch day for that option. Otherwise it's going to be 5 to 15 days before I would receive the replacement. Just going to hold out until Tuesday.

My s8 has a damaged outer glass just a bit..Im the one who dropped the s8 in otter box 2 foot and busted right in a curve. I used the new loca glue with full curved tempered glass over the cracks and it protects it,May have even saved the water tightness
For the most part looks great I see the cracks a bit I got a black spot on one edge similar But mine is from damage....Been like this for several months now
